Frequently Asked Questions

Choosing a cash-based practice allows for a higher level of personalized, uninterrupted care.
Instead of shorter, insurance-driven visits, you receive:
Full 90-minute evaluations and 60-minute one-on-one treatment sessions
Care that is tailored to you—not dictated by insurance limitations
More time for hands-on treatment, education, and real problem-solving
A private, unhurried environment where sensitive concerns can be addressed comfortably
Insurance-based care often comes with restrictions on visit length, number of sessions, and types of treatment that are covered. By working outside of those limitations, we’re able to focus entirely on what you need to make meaningful progress.
Many patients find that this approach leads to faster results, fewer total visits, and a better overall experience.

In most cases, no referral is needed to begin care. However, if you plan to submit for out-of-network reimbursement, your insurance company may require one. You can always check with your provider or reach out if you’re unsure.
-
Your first visit is a 90-minute, one-on-one session. We’ll talk through your symptoms, medical history, and goals, and assess movement, posture, and breathing.
With your full consent, a pelvic floor assessment may be included—but it is never required, and your comfort always comes first. You are in control of your care at all times.
-
This is a cash-based practice, which means we do not bill or accept insurance.
-
If your insurance plan includes out-of-network physical therapy benefits, you may be eligible for partial reimbursement. We can provide a superbill for you to submit to your insurance company.
-
No. Due to federal regulations, we are unable to provide services to patients with Medicare or Medicaid.
-
This varies depending on your symptoms, goals, and how your body responds to treatment. Some people feel improvement in just a few visits, while others benefit from a longer plan of care. We’ll discuss this together after your evaluation.
-
Not at all. While we do treat pregnancy and postpartum concerns, pelvic floor therapy can help people of all genders and backgrounds, including those experiencing pain, bladder or bowel issues, or core dysfunction.
